About

From diplomacy and global corporations to innovation and my own ventures

My career has run through public service, international energy projects, the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare system development. It taught me to look at the same problem through the eyes of the state, the investor, the corporation, the physician, the researcher and the founder.

Today I work as an independent strategic advisor. I focus on projects where a strong technology or a polished pitch is not enough — where stakeholder interests, evidence, the regulatory pathway, IP protection, economics and execution all have to fit together.

A strong strategy has to pass three tests: it must make sense to people, work economically, and be achievable within the decision-making system that actually exists.

Judo taught me a simple principle: strength matters, but technique, discipline and a sense of balance often matter more.

From Idea to Decision

Government Relations, Strategic Partnerships and Innovation Commercialization

Zhalgas Daniyarov

How are decisions made at the intersection of government, business, and society? Why do some initiatives become operational projects while others never progress beyond negotiations and memoranda of understanding? And what distinguishes professional influence from mere access to people in positions of authority?

From Idea to Decision explores the contemporary practice of Government Relations and Public Affairs, strategic negotiations, partnership building, and innovation commercialization.

Status: Manuscript completed; preparation for publication is underway.
